This is a horizontal stitch of 6 vertical shots.
The toughest I've ever attempted for sure!
It required me something like 10 hours work but I'm REALLY satisfied with it. I wanted it to be perfect at fullsize (and if you ever attempted stitching architectural you know how hard it is) and it is!!!
I learnt a lot and developed some new techniques to fix imperfections.
Final print will be beautiful (and huge)!

way better than any panorama i've done, if you don't mind me asking do you use a tripod with an adjustable center plate? And also was there any special filters you used so the images were'nt different from one another? I have an AE lock on my camera that should work for that situation, but it's stupid cause it won't stay locked for more than one image.

Thats beautiful. I think the composition is remarkable given the fact that you had to stich it all together. The center piece is really nice, and the horizon looks lovely too. I think the quality really shows through, and I can't tell it's been stitched to be honest. Wonderful work
about that center plate... ahem... i did not use any tripod at all nor any filter.
The first because I'm lazy... and the second because when I'm shooting towards the sun (it's on the left) my lens already flares enough... a filter could only worsen the defect.
Shooting panoramas for me it's a very empirical process... In a scene like this I meter the values of aperture and time on the brightest part (because the sensor of my DR is much better in recording shadows -that I can always lighten later- than lights. Then of course I keep the same settings for all the shots while panning (AE lock is essential here... I always use manual setting).
Oh... and another thing: manual white balance is essential too!
